What is Legion Remix?
Legion Remix is a seasonal, time-bound event designed for World of Warcraft players who want to relive the epic Legion expansion in a fresh and exciting way. Participants can create a Timerunner character from the original twelve Legion classes and progress through the Legion expansion rapidly, from level 10 to 80. This event is packed with gameplay innovations that promise both challenges and rewards, including new powers, formidable foes, and a treasure trove of cosmetic items such as pets, mounts, and transmog gear.
Open for All Players
The best part about Legion Remix is that it’s accessible to everyone. There is no need to purchase the Legion expansion separately. However, a World of Warcraft subscription or active Game Time is necessary to begin this fast-paced adventure through the Broken Isles. This inclusivity extends to players of WoW Classic, who can join the fun by installing the modern World of Warcraft client.
Even those with WoW Trial Accounts can taste the excitement of Legion Remix without a subscription, although it’s limited to level 20. To continue beyond this level, players will need to purchase a subscription or Game Time.
What’s Inside Legion Remix?
The content of Legion Remix is extensive and varied. Players can explore all twelve of the expansion’s dungeons, tackle the mega-dungeon, and conquer five raids. The event also includes all Legion Campaign quests, local stories, World Quests, Class Order Hall campaigns, Artifact questlines, Legion Assaults, and more. The infinite dragonflight is accelerating all weekly lockouts, reputation gains, and Class Order Hall missions, allowing players to dive into the action without delays.
Our Remix Story So Far
In the previous Remix: Mists of Pandaria, Eternus from the infinite dragonflight sought to understand the past better. With the Worldsoul Saga intensifying, she continues her quest by exploring historical events that led to Azeroth’s salvation from the Legion. This narrative thread adds depth and intrigue to the Legion Remix experience, enhancing the immersive storytelling that World of Warcraft is known for.
What’s New in Legion Remix?
To capture the spirit of the original Legion experience, several new gameplay systems have been introduced. These systems aim to provide players with strategic challenges that they can eventually master with epic power.
Remixed Artifact Weapons
Artifacts take center stage in Legion Remix, replacing the cloak and gem systems from previous iterations. Each Artifact weapon boasts a formidable trait tree, allowing players to choose between paths such as Nature, Fel, Arcane, Storm, or Holy. Flexibility is key, as players can respec at any time using the new Quick Assign feature. This feature lets players easily allocate their Infinite Power towards their chosen path or retract their choices as needed. Players can also find jewelry that enhances traits from any path, enabling further customization of Artifact weapons.
Heroic World Tier
Drawing inspiration from Diablo, the Heroic World Tier offers a novel way to engage with outdoor content. Eternus is testing Azeroth’s champions by empowering creatures with increased health, damage, and unique buffs, thereby intensifying their difficulty and the rewards they offer. Overcoming these formidable foes promises substantial rewards for those up to the challenge.
Timewarped Obelisks
Timewarped Obelisks scattered throughout Legion Remix grant players temporary but potent buffs as they traverse the world. These enhancements add an extra layer of strategy and excitement to the gameplay, encouraging players to make the most of their temporary advantages.
Timeworn Keystone Dungeons
For fans of Mythic+ dungeons, Legion Remix introduces Timeworn Keystone Dungeons. These dungeons bring back many original Affixes from Legion’s launch and introduce four new Affixes specific to Legion Remix called Eternus’s Trials. This ensures that even veteran players will find fresh challenges to conquer.
Infinite Research
Each day, players can select new research assignments, such as demon-slaying, dungeon runs, and Skyriding challenges. With over 100 quests available and the ability to take on multiple assignments simultaneously, players have a wealth of options to explore. Quests can be banked for up to six days, allowing players to engage with Legion Remix at their own pace, whether daily or during weekends.
Legion Remix Rewards
Legion Remix offers a fantastic opportunity to expand your collection with new and returning items. Players can also acquire new housing decor, which will be usable once the Housing feature goes live in the upcoming Midnight expansion. Additionally, players can earn new titles like “Chronoscholar,” “the Infernal,” and “of the Infinite Chaos.”
The Cost of Loot
Bronze makes a comeback as a currency for purchasing cosmetic items, while gear upgrades will drop from various content. More challenging content offers a higher chance of yielding upgrades, providing an incentive to tackle the toughest challenges Legion Remix has to offer.
More Character Slots and Early Character Conversion
World of Warcraft accounts will receive five additional character slots, allowing players to create even more characters. Players can also convert their Timerunner characters to standard characters at any time, even before the end of Legion Remix. This conversion is irreversible and will remove all Remix-specific items and abilities, reset the quest log, and provide level-appropriate gear and gold.
Converting a Timerunner character requires selecting it in the character selection screen and clicking the icon next to it. Note that characters must be at least 24 hours old to be eligible for conversion. To play above level 70, players need The War Within expansion, and converting a Timerunner above level 70 also requires either The War Within or Midnight expansions. Legion Remix: Content Rollout
The Legion Remix event will roll out new content every two weeks, starting with the original launch content from Legion and culminating with Argus and Antorus. Each release will introduce new content and rewards for players to enjoy. Here’s a schedule of what’s to come:
- October 7 – Skies of Fire: Experience the skies of the Broken Isles with original Legion content and the Emerald Nightmare and Trial of Valor raids.
- October 21 – Rise of the Nightfallen: Continue the Nightfallen’s story with the Insurrection campaign and new World Quests. Revisit the Legion mega-dungeon with Return to Karazhan and tackle the Nighthold raid.
- November 4 – Legionfall: Secure a foothold on the Broken Shore, engage in Legion Assaults, and venture into the Cathedral of Eternal Night and the Tomb of Sargeras.
- November 18 – Argus Eternal: Participate in the Argus campaign across three perilous zones and challenge the Seat of the Triumvirate and Antorus, the Burning Throne.
- December 9 – Infinite Echoes: As the Legion Remix timeline nears its collapse, embrace the chaos and prepare for new adventures.
