Samsung and Liberty Unite to Bring British Design to Art TVs Worldwide

Samsung Electronics has announced an exciting new collaboration with the esteemed British design house, Liberty. This partnership will introduce a curated collection of Liberty’s most iconic designs to the Samsung Art Store. Now, users of Samsung Art TVs across the globe can enjoy 20 new digital art pieces, featuring Liberty’s timeless art and patterns, right from the comfort of their homes.

This collaboration blends the sophistication of Samsung’s Art TVs with Liberty’s globally acclaimed design archive. It’s a landmark moment, as these stunning designs become available as digital artworks for the first time. Samsung’s team of curators worked closely with Liberty’s in-house experts to select patterns that would translate beautifully into large-scale digital displays, alive with intricate details, vibrant light, and rich color.

Rachael Roberts, Partnerships Manager at Samsung UK, expressed the shared vision behind this partnership: "Our collaboration was driven by a mutual desire to celebrate British design in innovative ways. With no other British design houses currently featured on Samsung Art Store, this was a perfect opportunity to introduce Liberty’s unique artistic voice to our global audience."

Liberty, founded in 1875, has long been a symbol of British creativity and craftsmanship. Renowned for its distinctive prints and a rich history of design innovation, Liberty’s influence spans the realms of art, fashion, and interior design. As a part of this collaboration, the collection is introduced with Artemis as the featured design—a bold, botanical reinterpretation of a classic Liberty motif. The collection spans over a century of Liberty’s heritage, featuring designs like the whimsical Enchanted Wood and the vibrant Jungle Trip.

Pere Bruach, Design Manager at Liberty, shared insights into the collaboration: "At Liberty, we’ve always championed designs that tell compelling stories, stories that evolve over time. Partnering with Samsung allowed us to reimagine our most iconic prints as living art, infusing them with a new dimension. These works, which once adorned silk and paper, are now reinterpreted for the digital realm, bringing the spirit of Liberty and the timeless beauty of pattern and print into everyday spaces."

Within the collection of 20 Liberty designs, standout pieces include Artemis, Marina’s Tea Garden, Fantasy Land, and My Grown Up Star from Liberty’s Autumn/Winter 2025 collection. Each design is meticulously crafted as a digital artwork tailored for the Samsung Art Store, infusing living spaces with character, history, and a touch of British charm.

Bruach further elaborated on the selection process: "When choosing pieces for the Samsung Art Store, we focused on those that best encapsulate Liberty’s visual language. From nostalgic 1930s florals and hand-painted botanicals to eclectic geometric designs and enchanting landscapes, the collection reflects the full spectrum of our creative heritage. Artemis, for instance, felt like a natural fit for The Frame—embodying the blend of tradition and modernity that defines both our brands."

Roberts added, "Liberty’s legacy of storytelling makes them a dream partner. Our vision for the Art Store has always been to make art and design accessible, bringing meaning to people’s lives. Liberty’s prints offer exactly that—a daily joy and a sense of place."

This collaboration highlights Samsung Art Store’s mission to democratize access to global art. With a growing archive of over 3,500 artworks from renowned museums and art institutions worldwide, the addition of Liberty’s British classics marks the start of a new chapter, where printmaking heritage meets modern innovation.

For those new to the concept, the Samsung Art Store is a digital platform that allows Art TV owners to display a wide range of artworks on their screens, turning their TVs into vibrant art pieces when not in use. It offers a subscription-based service, providing access to an extensive library of art from various genres and periods, making art more accessible to the public.

As Liberty continues its journey of discovery, animated by arts, culture, design, and the pursuit of beauty, this partnership with Samsung reinforces its commitment to bringing good design to all. Liberty’s distinctive curation, directional design, and celebration of craftsmanship remain true to the spirit of its founder, Arthur Lasenby Liberty, maintaining an unapologetically eccentric approach.

This collaboration is available through the Samsung Art Store in all service countries, with the exception of India, allowing a broad audience to experience the fusion of tradition and technology.
