The Spring season has arrived, and with it comes the exciting new update for Outbreak: Shades of Horror. As the Co-Founder and Chief Operating Officer of Dead Drop Studios, I am thrilled to introduce you to the Sakura Ridge district, which is now available on Xbox Play Anywhere with cross-platform multiplayer.

With Xbox Play Anywhere, players can experience the terror of Cypress Ridge anytime and anywhere. Whether you want to team up with friends in Raid Mode on your Xbox Series X|S console or progress through the campaign on your handheld device, Xbox Play Anywhere allows you to pick up where you left off on your preferred platform. Additionally, cross-platform multiplayer is now live, so you can join forces with players across all versions of the game.

The Ruined City of Cypress Ridge expands with the addition of the new Sakura Ridge area, a scenic map where players must fend off hordes of zombies while protecting civilians. In Invasion Mode, players can fortify defenses and build traps to survive against waves of enemies, while Raid Mode presents a suspenseful scenario where the longer you delay, the stronger your foes become. Can you navigate through the chaos and reach the evacuation point in time?

Express yourself with unlockable masks and seasonal cosmetics in Cypress Reel, the game’s hub world. By completing special challenges and earning Seasonal Tickets, players can customize their characters with masks and clothing pieces. Combine these new items with existing options to create your unique look while battling the undead.

In addition to the Spring update, Dead Drop Studios is working on an ambitious new campaign called Story Mode. This mode will feature sprawling maps, a gripping narrative, and new gameplay systems that will be revealed closer to release. Existing owners of Outbreak: Shades of Horror will receive Story Mode as a free update when it becomes available.

As we continue to expand the Outbreak universe with seasonal events and game crossovers, players can look forward to exciting content like the Chromatic Split: Enhanced Edition and Trials of Hank. These side stories offer new challenges and experiences for players to enjoy. With a variety of mini-games, challenges, and events, there is always something new to discover in the world of Outbreak: Shades of Horror.

So, grab your weapons, gear up, and prepare to face the zombie horde in the thrilling world of Outbreak: Shades of Horror. Whether you’re a seasoned survivor or new to the genre, there’s something for everyone in this retro-inspired survival horror game. Happy surviving, and may the Spring air bring you some relaxation before the undead come knocking at your door!
