NVIDIA’s annual conference, GPU Technology Conference (GTC) 2026, is just around the corner, and here’s what you can expect from the biggest AI event of the year. The conference will take place in San Jose, California, from March 16-19, and will bring together 30,000 attendees from 190 countries.

The conference will kick off with a keynote by NVIDIA’s founder and CEO, Jensen Huang, at the SAP Center on Monday, March 16. The keynote will cover a wide range of topics, including physical AI, AI factories, agentic AI, and inference. Huang will delve into the latest advancements in AI technology, from chips and software to models and applications.

One of the highlights of the conference will be the panel discussions and talks by industry leaders. On Wednesday, March 18, Huang will moderate a panel on open models, featuring Harrison Chase, cofounder and CEO of LangChain, and leaders from A16Z, AI2, Cursor, and Thinking Machines Lab. The discussion will focus on the significance of open models in comparison to closed ones and how they impact developers and users.

Throughout the conference, there will be over 700 sessions covering various topics related to AI, providing attendees with in-depth knowledge and insights into the latest trends in the industry. Additionally, attendees will have the opportunity to engage with NVIDIA engineers in real-time through the GTC Developer Community Livestream, where they can ask questions and request deep dives into specific topics.

Apart from the main sessions, attendees can also explore 150 researcher posters on robotics, model innovation, and systems architecture, as well as participate in over 70 hands-on training labs. Certification exams will also be available onsite at no extra cost, allowing attendees to validate their skills and knowledge in AI technology.

For those looking to take a break from the sessions, there will be a day market at Cesar Chavez Park, offering a variety of snacks and refreshments. The night market will also be open until 9 p.m., providing attendees with the opportunity to unwind and network with fellow participants.
