Traffic flows securely over the AWS global backbone without traversing the public internet, ensuring built-in MACsec encryption for enhanced security.
  • AWS Interconnect – Last Mile: This option facilitates high-speed private connections from branch offices or data centers directly to AWS through existing network providers. It automatically provisions redundant connections across two physical locations while configuring Border Gateway Protocol (BGP) routing and activating MACsec encryption by default. Bandwidth can be adjusted from 1 Gbps to 100 Gbps via the console without needing reprovisioning.
