KUKA Unveils Immersive Showroom Featuring Advanced Robotics and Samsung Display Technology
KUKA, a prominent player in the robotics and automation sector, has launched a new showroom at its headquarters in Augsburg, Germany. This innovative space showcases a unique blend of KUKA’s cutting-edge robotics technology and Samsung Electronics’ advanced display solutions, creating an immersive experience for visitors.
A Dynamic Kinetic Art Installation
At the heart of the showroom lies a captivating kinetic art installation where two KUKA industrial robots expertly maneuver a 65-inch Samsung Smart Signage display. This synchronized performance is positioned in front of a Samsung IEA Indoor series 4K LED display, which consists of 64 individual cabinets. As the panels part like curtains, they unveil vibrant digital artwork that captivates onlookers with a range of visuals, from detailed performer close-ups to dynamic motion graphics.
The IEA series display features an impressive 2.0mm pixel pitch, ensuring sharp detail and vivid colors even at close viewing distances. This clarity enhances the robot-led performance, allowing visitors to appreciate the precision with which KUKA’s robots operate, animate visual content, and respond to their environment.

Creating an Automated Factory Experience
In another section of the showroom, five vertically mounted 105-inch Samsung QPDX-5K Smart Signage displays are arranged in a 21:9 format to simulate a “production window” effect. These oversized screens provide visitors with an immersive view into an automated manufacturing line, effectively bringing the essence of a factory tour directly into the showroom. This installation serves as yet another demonstration of KUKA’s engineering prowess, showcasing how robotics can be presented with both precision and visual impact.

Enhancing Engagement Through Technology
The showroom also features 16 Samsung VMC-R video wall displays that further enrich the visual experience. MEDIA tek, the project’s integration partner, played a crucial role in customizing and installing this comprehensive solution by combining LED technology with large-format LCD and video wall displays to create an engaging environment.

Amit Chatterjee, Manager of Presales Solutions at Samsung Electronics Germany, emphasized the collaborative effort: “Together with KUKA and MEDIA tek, we implemented a project that makes smart technology and quality accessible to everyone.” This partnership highlights how advanced technology can be seamlessly integrated into real-world applications.
Bridging Engineering Heritage with Modern Innovation
The showroom provides visitors with an interactive way to engage with KUKA’s innovations. By combining robotics with high-quality displays and dynamic content, it transforms automation from a static concept into an active experience. For KUKA, this space not only connects its engineering legacy but also presents automation as an accessible vision for various industries—demonstrating not just what these systems can do but how they move and respond to create new possibilities.

What This Means for Automation and Display Technology
The collaboration between KUKA and Samsung illustrates how advanced display technologies can enhance understanding of complex ideas within industrial settings. By merging robotics with high-definition digital displays, this showroom sets a new standard for how automation can be experienced by both industry professionals and the general public. It emphasizes that technology is not just about functionality; it is also about creating engaging narratives that resonate on multiple levels.
