NewsXbox Insiders Get New Features: Home Groups, Custom Colors

Xbox is always looking for feedback from its users to enhance the player experience. Today, a select group of Xbox Insiders will have the opportunity to test out some exciting updates that will soon be available on Xbox consoles. These updates will eventually be rolled out to all players, so everyone can benefit from the improvements. Xbox is committed to listening to its users and implementing the features that they have been asking for.

One of the new features that Xbox users can look forward to is the ability to add more groups to their home screen. Previously limited to just 2 groups, users will now be able to add up to 10 groups, allowing for more customization options. Managing groups has also been made easier with a new reordering system that is similar to rearranging games on the home screen. Additionally, users can now pin groups to their home screen directly from the My Games & Apps section, making it more convenient to access their favorite content.

Another exciting addition is the introduction of custom colors. Users will no longer be limited to the existing system colors and will now have the ability to create their own custom color scheme. By using sliders, users can choose the perfect hue and shade to personalize their console. This custom color will also be reflected in the Guide, adding a splash of individuality to the user interface. For those who prefer a more traditional look, the custom color feature can easily be turned off in the settings menu.

Quick Resume is a popular feature on Xbox, allowing users to quickly switch between games. However, some users have reported issues with Quick Resume not functioning as expected, especially after extended periods of inactivity. With the latest update, users now have the option to disable Quick Resume on a per-game basis, ensuring a fresh launch every time. This can be done by accessing the Manage Quick Resume option in the game settings menu.

Profile badges are a fun way to showcase achievements and milestones in a player’s Xbox journey. With the new update, users will now see the five most recently unlocked badges when viewing a profile in the Guide, making it easier to spot these notable moments. This feature adds a personal touch to the user experience and highlights the accomplishments of each player.

For Xbox Insiders who want to provide feedback or seek support, there are resources available to help. The Xbox Insider subreddit is a community where users can connect with official Xbox staff, moderators, and fellow Xbox enthusiasts. By participating in existing threads and sharing feedback, users can contribute to the future development of Xbox and help shape the platform for years to come.

Overall, these updates demonstrate Xbox’s commitment to listening to its users and implementing features that enhance the gaming experience. By incorporating user feedback and suggestions, Xbox continues to evolve and improve, providing a more personalized and enjoyable gaming environment for all players.
