Reflecting on 2024 and the Success of Astro Bot
The past year was monumental for us with the release of Astro Bot, our most ambitious game yet. The game not only received numerous accolades from the gaming industry but also garnered an overwhelming amount of positive feedback from you, our dedicated players. Your support and enthusiasm make the hard work of everyone at Team Asobi incredibly rewarding. We extend our heartfelt gratitude to each of you for your encouragement and love.
Exciting New Content for Astro Bot Players
Now, let’s dive into the exciting news for the new year. To kick off 2025 on a high note, we are thrilled to announce the release of brand new content for Astro Bot, starting today. Some of you might have already caught a glimpse of an unreleased level during the PlayStation XP Tournament Final held in London, England, on January 18. This particular level, along with four additional ones, will be featured in the all-new Vicious Void Galaxy, available from today onwards.
What makes this update even more special is that it’s completely free for all Astro Bot players—a token of our appreciation for your unwavering support.
Weekly Release Schedule of the New Levels
Here’s what you can expect from the new levels rolling out over the next few weeks:
- February 13: Tick-Tock Shock
- February 20: Thrust or Bust
- February 27: Cock-A-Doodle-Doom
- March 6: Hard to Bear
- March 13: Armored Hardcore
Each level will be released on a weekly basis, with all updates becoming available every Thursday at 6:00 AM PT, 2:00 PM GMT, and 10:00 PM JST.
Challenging Gameplay and Exciting Features
Unlike our previous update, Winter Wonder, which offered a festive and leisurely experience, the Vicious Void Galaxy is designed to challenge your gaming skills. Prepare to put your jumping abilities to the test with these more demanding levels. Each new level also includes a unique Special Bot to rescue. Once you save these bots, you can replay the levels in Time Attack mode, compete in online rankings, and aim for the top spot. However, to access this new content, you must have completed the main game. So, gear up and get ready for some exhilarating rescue missions!
Enhanced Experience for PS5 Pro Owners
In addition to the new levels, we have more good news for those who own the PS5 Pro. You will be able to enjoy an enhanced version of Astro Bot featuring superior resolution, all while maintaining a smooth 60 frames per second. This upgrade promises an even more immersive gaming experience.
