This update promises to take players on a thrilling ride as the trailblazing expedition reaches its dramatic peak in the world of Amphoreus.
In this latest chapter, players will find themselves at the center of a cosmic tale as the Chrysos Heirs make a final stand to secure a precious moment in time. The fate of the universe hangs in the balance as the Trailblazer and their new ally, Phainon, work together to deliver the last Coreflame to the Vortex of Genesis. With the path ahead now clear, only one final step remains before the dawn of a new era, known as Era Nova.
As we dive deeper into the storyline, the shroud of mystery that once enveloped the skies of Amphoreus begins to lift, revealing a complex and challenging world. In the climax of Version 3.3, it was uncovered that the root of Amphoreus’s tragedy lies in an enigmatic artifact known as the "Emperor’s Scepter," which has endured through the ages. However, the unfolding events have far-reaching implications that extend beyond the borders of Amphoreus, as the waves of Era Nova threaten to cascade across the cosmic shores. The choices made by the Trailblazer will ultimately determine the fate of the entire universe.
A New Ally Joins the Galactic Journey
In this update, players will be introduced to Phainon, a long-awaited character who will finally become a playable ally alongside the Trailblazer. Phainon hails from the land of Aedes Elysiae and was among the first Chrysos Heirs in Amphoreus to extend a hand of friendship to the Trailblazer. Despite the darkness that surrounds him, Phainon stands resolute, protecting those around him with unwavering courage. However, beneath his calm and gentle facade lies the burden of countless hopes and expectations.
Version 3.4 invites players to explore the depths of Aedes Elysiae and uncover the story of Phainon’s past. Discover how he embarked on the Flame-Chase Journey, rose to become a formidable warrior, and how the trials he faced shaped him into the person he is today. During combat, Phainon can gather "Coreflames" through various actions. Once he accumulates enough Coreflames, he can unleash his Ultimate ability, transforming into a powerful new form and creating a "Territory" to battle his foes. This transformation significantly boosts his combat capabilities, while allies temporarily remain in a "Departed" state, retaining their buff effects.
Phainon’s abilities are further enhanced when he channels the powers of the Creation, Calamity, and Foundation Titans. Additionally, his presence in the team increases the team’s Technique Point cap, allowing players to defeat normal enemies instantly without triggering combat. This makes exploring new worlds and embarking on adventures much more efficient.
Collaboration Event: Honkai: Star Rail x Fate/stay night [Unlimited Blade Works]
Beyond the world of Amphoreus, an extraordinary collaboration event is set to unfold in the vibrant land of Penacony. The Trailblazer receives a mysterious invitation from Old Oti, the head of the Alfalfa Family, to participate in a special entertainment program called "Sweet Dreams and the Holy Grail War." This unique event will take place in Penacony, where seven participants will summon historical figures, known as Servants, to fight by their side.
Familiar faces like Aventurine, Mr. Boothill, and Miss Robin will join the Trailblazer as contestants, while legendary Heroic Spirits including Saber, Archer, and Lancer will answer the call of the Holy Grail. As the "Sweet Dreams and the Holy Grail War" unfolds, players will have the opportunity to form contracts with these iconic characters and uncover the mysteries of this dazzling and unpredictable event.
The Honkai: Star Rail x Fate/stay night [Unlimited Blade Works] collaboration event, featuring the special story "Sweet Dreams and the Holy Grail," will officially go live on July 11. Fans can look forward to an immersive experience as they navigate this captivating crossover event.
New Playable Characters: Saber and Archer
As part of this exciting collaboration, players will have the opportunity to recruit Saber as a playable character. Saber is a 5-star Wind-type character who follows the Path of Destruction. Her Ultimate ability, "Excalibur," deals significant Wind damage to all enemies and enhances her Basic Attack to target all foes. During combat, Saber can accumulate "Core Resonance" through her Technique, Basic Attacks, and when allies use their Ultimates. Once enough Core Resonance is gathered, she gains an extra action, allowing her to unleash powerful attacks and instantly replenish the energy required for her Ultimate.
Archer, another new addition to the roster, will also be available to assist players during the Holy Grail War and subsequent cosmic adventures. Archer is a Quantum-type character who follows the Path of the Hunt, excelling in dealing sustained single-target damage. When in the "Circuit Connection" state, Archer can repeatedly use his Skill without ending his turn, with each cast increasing in damage. By activating his Ultimate, Archer recites the classic chant to unleash "Unlimited Blade Works," delivering a devastating strike against a single enemy and gaining Special Charge. During battle, whenever an ally attacks, Archer can consume this Charge to trigger a Follow-up Attack and restore a Skill Point for the team.
Starting July 11, players who log in during the collaboration event will be able to claim Archer, the limited 5-star collaboration character, for free. The character and Light Cone collaboration banners will remain available long-term after the event begins.
Returning Characters and System Enhancements
In addition to the exciting new characters and collaboration event, Version 3.4 will feature the return of several popular characters. In the first half of the update, limited 5-star characters Tribbie, Sunday, and Sparkle will make their return, followed by Firefly, Jingliu, and Blade in the second half. Existing characters such as Silver Wolf, Blade, Kafka, and Jingliu will receive significant enhancements, with their Eidolons also being adjusted to align with their improved abilities. Players can seamlessly switch between classic and enhanced modes, choosing their preferred combat style.
Players can also look forward to the introduction of Firefly’s new outfit, "Spring Missive," and the long-awaited "skip dialogue" feature, allowing players to customize their storytelling experience. The beloved minigame "Origami Bird" will also make a return, providing a fun and engaging addition to the update.
