    The SPHEREx mission will share its launch with NASA’s PUNCH mission (Polarimeter to Unify the Corona and Heliosphere), both of which will take off aboard a SpaceX Falcon 9 rocket from Launch Complex 4E at Vandenberg Space Force Base in Central California.

    The mission is being managed by NASA’s JPL on behalf of the Astrophysics Division within the Science Mission Directorate at NASA Headquarters. The principal investigator is located at Caltech in Pasadena, California, which oversees JPL for NASA. The spacecraft itself is provided by BAE Systems, while the Korea Astronomy and Space Science Institute has contributed the non-flight cryogenic test chamber. Data gathered from the mission will be made publicly available through the Infrared Processing and Analysis Center (IPAC) at Caltech.
