NewsSamsung Showcases AI Innovations in Mobile, Health, Home, Networks

The Mobile World Congress (MWC) 2025 kicked off in Barcelona on March 3, attracting technology leaders and enthusiasts from around the world to the largest mobile technology exhibition globally. Samsung Electronics made a significant impact at the event with their innovative experience zones, primarily focused on the Galaxy S25 series, which provided attendees with an insight into the future of artificial intelligence (AI)-driven mobile experiences. Additionally, Samsung dedicated a section of their booth to showcase next-generation network solutions.

As the event commenced, anticipation was palpable with over 110,000 attendees expected to gather in Barcelona. The streets were abuzz with excitement, partly fueled by large-scale advertisements of the Galaxy S25 series strategically placed around the venue. Samsung Newsroom took the opportunity to explore these AI-driven innovations and other advanced hardware that Samsung presented to the public.

### A New Era of Mobile Experiences with the Galaxy S25 Series

At the heart of the Fira Gran Via exhibition hall, Samsung set up a sprawling 1,745-square-meter booth to highlight the capabilities of the Galaxy S25 series. A towering 41-meter-wide LED screen dominated the booth, bringing the vision of Galaxy AI to life. Inside, attendees were invited to engage with interactive zones that showcased the series’ AI capabilities, along with groundbreaking advancements in camera technology and performance enhancements. Key features included AI-powered personalized insights, cutting-edge photography and editing tools, and superior gaming performance.

### Revolutionizing Health Management with Intelligence

Samsung’s booth also featured an AI-powered Health Solution zone. Here, attendees could explore how Samsung Health is helping users manage their daily wellness with ease. One of the standout features was the Now Brief on the Galaxy S25, which provides users with a personalized Energy Score. This score includes insights into the user’s previous night’s sleep and current health condition. Through the Sleep details page in Samsung Health, users can review comprehensive sleep analyses, including duration, sleep stages, and blood oxygen levels. Moreover, the Sleep environment report evaluates aspects like room brightness, temperature, and humidity to help users optimize their sleep quality.

A visitor remarked, “Galaxy AI is really changing the way we manage our health,” after experiencing Samsung’s personalized health management approach. This method analyses each individual’s health and interests to provide tailored guidance.

### Building a Smarter, Safer Home

The Home Solution zone presented an advanced smart home experience, powered by SmartThings and Knox Matrix. Attendees could use the Galaxy Tab S10’s 3D Map View to visualize and manage connected smart home devices through an interactive floor plan of their home. Other SmartThings AI features demonstrated included automated routines tailored to user preferences, fall detection alerts for elderly family members, and detailed energy consumption reports to promote more efficient usage.

To ensure a secure smart home experience, Knox Matrix plays a crucial role. Attendees observed how the interconnected devices autonomously detect threats, implement protective measures, and notify users through this security framework.

### Commitment to Security and Sustainability

In the Galaxy Foundation zone, Samsung showcased its dedication to security and sustainability for Galaxy devices. Users have control over how their data is handled, choosing between on-device processing or the cloud, and can enable or disable personalized features. The Galaxy S25’s on-device AI processes personal data through the Personal Data Engine, ensuring robust security with Knox Vault.

Attendees were impressed by Samsung’s sustainability initiatives aimed at reducing carbon emissions. Through innovative recycling technology, the batteries in the Galaxy S25 series repurpose cobalt extracted from discarded Galaxy devices. Additionally, recycled fishing nets are used to create smartphone components, and the Ocean Mode camera setting helps capture footage of coral reefs to support marine conservation efforts.

### Next-Generation Network Solutions: AI Innovations in 5G and Beyond

Samsung also unveiled AI-optimized and software-centric network innovations in a separate, invitation-only exhibit. These advancements represent the future of mobile communications. The Samsung CognitiV Network Operations Suite (NOS) attracted global telecommunication operators and B2B clients. This suite offers AI-powered network automation applications for lifecycle management, covering planning, deployment, operation, and optimization. Another highlight was the AI Energy Saving Manager, which analyzes traffic patterns to maintain network quality while reducing energy consumption by up to 35%.

Samsung’s collaboration with Hyundai Motor Company introduced the industry’s first 5G Reduced Capability (RedCap) technology for mass-production vehicle manufacturing. Attendees also witnessed a lineup of high-performance network chipsets and various base station solutions.

Samsung’s presence at MWC 2025 underscored its commitment to innovation, setting new standards for AI-driven user experiences and advanced network solutions, while shaping the future of mobile technology. For more details on Samsung’s exhibits, visit the official Samsung Newsroom website.
