Introducing Xbox Insider Badges
We are thrilled to announce a brand-new initiative designed to acknowledge and reward our committed Insiders. We are introducing gold, silver, and bronze badges to honor outstanding participation. These badges are prestigious achievements, awarded to those who continually excel in their engagement. While these badges are rare, they are attainable by anyone through active participation. Join playtests, complete activities, engage on our subreddit, and provide valuable feedback to earn these coveted badges.
The Xbox Insider badges system is a way to honor those who contribute significantly to the community. The gold, silver, and bronze badges represent different levels of recognition, with gold being the most prestigious. These badges are a testament to the dedication and enthusiasm of our Insiders.
Spotlight on Gold Badge Recipients
The Gold badge stands as the pinnacle of recognition within the Xbox Insider Program. In this initial round of awards, we are proud to highlight the contributions of individuals like bowski477, also known as Scratch, and WPAK, along with other devoted subreddit moderators. Their leadership and steadfast commitment have significantly influenced and supported the Insider community.
We asked our Gold badge winners a few questions to get to know them better:
- What’s a comfort game you can always return to and enjoy playing, and why?
One Insider mentioned, "Minecraft is my go-to comfort game. There’s no pressure, it’s straightforward, and the music is incredibly soothing. There’s always something new to create and explore."
Another shared, "Civilization has been a favorite of mine for many years. I enjoy playing single-player, so there’s no time pressure, and it brings back memories of my younger self."
- If you could live in any video game world, which would it be and why?
"Probably Minecraft," one winner noted, "because I could explore and live in a world of floating half-trees."
Silver Badge Honors
Our Silver badge recipients, Mikro, CID, and Joern, have been long-time contributors to the Xbox Insider Program. Their sustained dedication, insightful feedback, and active community engagement continue to shape the future of Xbox.

- If you could have any video game character as your best friend, who would it be?
"The Master Chief from Halo, without a doubt," one Insider said.
- What’s the funniest glitch or bug you’ve encountered in a game?
"I’ve seen infinite ladder glitches in games like The Division or discovered that you could fly due to a ladder glitch in the game Raft. These unexpected occurrences can lead to some of the most entertaining gaming experiences. It’s always a great time when you’re spontaneously thrown into the outer limits while interacting with another player."
- What’s the most challenging game you’ve ever played, and did you complete it?
"Even though it’s been almost two decades, I still remember playing Call of Duty 2 on veteran difficulty on the Xbox 360. It felt like the hardest game, yet I managed to beat it."
Celebrating Bronze Badge Achievers
The Bronze badge recognizes Insiders who demonstrate consistent involvement and enthusiasm in the program. In this inaugural round of awards, we’re acknowledging the contributions of "KJ" and deadeagleman, who have both been steadfast participants in the program.
When asked about their gaming habits, one Bronze badge recipient shared:
- Have you ever pulled an all-nighter playing a game? If so, what game?
"Yes, I’ve stayed up all night playing Elite Dangerous, grinding for the Corvette ship in the game."
Earning XP for Your Feedback
In addition to the new badges, we are pleased to officially announce that we’ve been awarding Xbox Insider XP for the valuable feedback you provide. Although this is the first time we’re discussing it publicly, we’ve been recognizing your contributions with XP for some time now. Your insights are crucial in helping us improve, and we want to ensure you know how much we value them.
While badges are rare, your feedback and participation can still earn you XP. The more detailed and clear your feedback is, the more likely it is to be awarded XP. Be sure to include screenshots when you can. We review all feedback submitted through the "Report a Problem" feature on the console. If you haven’t received XP for providing feedback yet, you may in the future. If you’ve never submitted feedback before, now is the perfect time to start. Our team has been working diligently to deliver the best possible experience. From introducing mouse and keyboard support and enabling Xbox Cloud Gaming (Beta) for personal game streaming, to improving space management recommendations and offering new ways to personalize the Home screen, many new features have been rolled out.
