The implementation of Color E-Paper allows for real-time updates of promotional images and product information without the need for continuous printing.

Store manager Min-kyung Lee noted that previously, promotional materials had to be printed and manually replaced for every campaign or product launch. With Color E-Paper, staff can manage content through the Samsung E-Paper App, enabling immediate updates and significantly cutting down on resource use.

Color E-Paper operates at zero watts while displaying static content and consumes power only when content is updated. This feature supports PLEATSMAMA’s sustainability efforts by minimizing energy consumption in daily operations.

The display’s ability to automatically update content via preset playlists allows for more dynamic engagement with shoppers. This multilingual approach has proven effective; Lee observed that Japanese customers tend to spend more time engaging with the Japanese-language content displayed on Color E-Paper. The technology facilitates better communication of product care instructions and the brand’s philosophy without overwhelming customers with printed materials.

The seamless integration of Color E-Paper into the retail space also enhances the overall aesthetic experience. Its paper-like surface and slim profile allow it to blend effortlessly into the store’s design while showcasing PLEATSMAMA’s signature knit textures and vibrant colors. Customers have expressed surprise at how naturally the technology fits within the brand’s identity.
