The seven Umbrella Academy members were all born on the same day to mothers who weren’t pregnant that morning, according to the comic book series by Gerard Way. Then, they were adopted and trained by a masochistic millionaire, preventing the end of the world while also leaving the grown adults with scars they must deal with.
